Our company has developed a robot named Penny enabled by artificial intelligence and able to autonomously shuttle food from a kitchen out to tables and bring dishes back for cleaning. We are growing and for our headquarters in Redwood City, CA we’re looking for an experienced NPI Program Manager who wants to play a key role in executing successful new product manufacturing launces in concert with our product roadmap.
After graduating with a manufacturing, industrial engineering or similar degree, you’ve spent more 5 – 7 years or more in a hardware OEM or CM organization(s) with well-honed PLC processes and drove several products from prototype to mass production.

You are passionate about evangelizing DFx and developing and realizing ambitious NPI schedules with a focus on quality and timeliness. The shop floor is your second home. Where we need your help:
Generation, review and management of internal Manufacturing development plans (test & process)
Assisting with the development and maintenance of Bear’s formal PLC process
Ensuring BoMs are properly structured and that all materials, process
documentation, test equipment, fixtures, and build plans are in place at our CM
Developing, coordinating and managing transition/ramp plans into CM partners.
Providing leadership during transfer from NPI gateway facilities to high-volume
Coordination with Engineering and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) to
ensure products are optimized for cost, manufacturability, testability and supply
chain flexibility and efficiency (DFx)
Leading the Manufacturing and Supply Chain teams in planning and executing
NPI builds and ensure readiness for volume production
Managing all Manufacturing and Supply Chain-related NPI communications,
upward and downward through the organization; escalate key issues and
present options for resolution
Providing Manufacturing guidance during concept phase of product
Provide quality management support and issue resolution for assigned projects
Develop processes and procedures related to NPI
Will likely perform sustaining activities between NPI cycles
Optimally you posses:
A Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering degree or equivalent
5 to 7 years of relevant experience in an electromechanical environment. Direct
factory or operational experience is a plus
Experience working in a fast-paced start-up environment with limited structure
Comfort and enthusiasm with ambiguity and rapid changes
Experience working with contract manufacturers as service providers
